This page is about achievements of Asia during the middle ages. There are ten images in the slideshow however to summarize I will describe three achievements and their effects on our modern world.
Astronomy
The ancient Asians discovered many things about Astronomy. An achievement the ancient Asians made was discover that the moon affected ocean tides. Astronomers in the observatory of Baghdad proved that the moon affects ocean tides. The moon's gravity pulls on the Earth's surface, causing the ocean to move in waves as it is pulled. Muslim scholars also measured the distance around Earth by using their improved version of the astrolobe. From what their measurements they were able to confirm that the Earth was round.
Medical Achievements
Arab doctors discovered that blood flows to the heart. Without this accomplishment we couldn't perform basic surgery, heart surgery or give blood donations. Persian Doctor Ibn Sina wrote a book that described disease and medicine called the Canon of Medicine. This book allowed for all of the medical knowledge up to then could be remembered and passed for generations and generations to come.
Literature
Muslim writers wrote literature epics like Arabian Nights, however their most famous work of art is Alladin. They also wrote more religious works such as the Qur'an, the leading book in the Muslim religion. Persian poet Omar Khayyam wrote the Rubaiyat which is considered the greatest poem ever written. In his poem he describes how the human being is a mystery.
So as you can see the Asians made many accomplishments which have effected history and we are still reaping the benefits of them.
